Vile's mind is not being controlled and it seems he supports Zofis and defeats mamodo just for fun. Zatch and the others are outraged at his self-indulgent and arrogant attitude. They make repeated desperate attacks against Demolt, but Zatch and the others have a hard time making a breakthrough. Moreover, several comrades are slow to recover from damage they've suffered.
